We are students in the College of Education and Human Services looking to start our own chapter of Kappa Delta Pi. CEHS is full of hard-working, passionate, and driven students, many who have expressed an interest in belonging to an organization focused on addressing important issues pertaining to education.

Kappa Delta Pi (KDP), International Honor Society in Education, was founded in 1911 to foster excellence in education and promote fellowship among those dedicated to teaching (kdp.org). We feel this organization will help to bring the college together and allow us (student members) to focus on ways we can better ourselves, our college, and our community.  

The money raised will help to reinstate the chapter, cover member dues, and establish a savings account for the organization. Kappa Delta Pi at WVU will not only benefit the college, but also its members by helping them to network and build relationships with their peers and other education professionals. Members enjoy high-quality publications; leadership and professional development opportunities at local, regional, and national conferences; service learning projects and field experiences; and an extensive scholarship program—aligning with KDP’s vision of quality learning for all.
