Potomac State Baseball Alumni Campaign 2020

Last October, five former Potomac State Baseball players stepped up to the plate when they decided to give back to the program that meant so much to them. The group led by J.T. Osburn asked the coaching staff what the team was in need of. After some discussion, Osburn and former teammates Nick Cooper, Tim Latham, Brett McClain and Jeff Miller got together and purchased a new Junior Hack Attack baseball pitching machine.

“It was our pleasure to help out,” said Osburn. “The program means a lot to us and we know how much it changed our lives. The other guys were really excited to get involved.” The pitching machine immediately went to work as it was set up in the new indoor Baseball Performance Center located at Golden Park. “In all the years I have been here, we only ever had one pitching machine,” said Potomac State Head Coach Doug Little. “And honestly, it wasn’t a very good one.”

That all changed with the generosity of these baseball alumni.

Now, Potomac State Baseball is reaching out to alumni to see if last year’s gift can be matched again this year. The goal is to raise $2500.00 in the month of October during this Alumni Drive to purchase another pitching machine. It’s easy to give.
