Our Mission & Goal
The Department of Neuroscience's Feed Our Brains campaign aims to pay off overdue student lunch balances at elementary and middle schools in greater Monongalia County that are visited as part of their student outreach program. Several neuroscience related games and activities are held at each school to help the students learn about the brain and hopefully create a love for science.
We Need Your Help
Proper nutrition and sufficient energy intake are required for academic success, however, food insecurity is a significant issue for some West Virginia children. The ‘Feed Our Brains’ campaign donates to Monongalia County Schools to help offset some costs of unpaid lunch bills for students. Contributions to the campaign directly benefit local schools to improve student success.
