In May the WVU Chamber Singers will embark on a tour of Ireland. The choir will perform in Dublin, Cork, and Killarney, as well as visit historical landmarks and experience the culture and music of Ireland. For many of the singers, this is the first time abroad, and for some the first time they will travel on a plane. It is also the first time that this choir has performed internationally and they are looking forward to taking the music of West Virginia and the greater United States across the Atlantic. The choir has been working hard on fundraising all year, but we are still short of our goal.
Funds raised will go directly toward the cost of the trip. They will cover airfares, lodging, meals, and performance venues. All donations are greatly appreciated and will benefit the promotion of the arts in West Virginia. This is a wonderful opportunity to not only support the arts in your local community, but to promote WVU to an international audience.
On behalf of the WVU Collegiate Choral Society we thank you for your support in our efforts to become the first WVU Student Choir to represent the University internationally.
Thank you,
WVU Choir
