Thank You

December 13, 2017

Good afternoon

As of noon, our crowd-sourcing fundraising efforts have finalized for our Spring Study Abroad to Nicaragua. We are so incredibly excited to arrive in Nicaragua. We are counting down the days! 84 to be exact.

We (I) truly appreciate your support over the last several months and we will definitely email you updates once we return with a video, some of our favorite pictures, and some information about what we were able to accomplish.

Please let me know if you have any future questions. (Daniel.Brewster@mail.wvu.edu)

Have a wonderful day, and a great holiday.

Kind regards,

Daniel W. Brewster

23 Hours!

December 12, 2017

There are 23 HOURS left in our campaign, so now is the time! Don't delay!

Thank you so much to all of our donors and to everyone who has helped up spread the word!

If you haven't had a chance to make your contribution, now is the time! As always, don't forget to share, share share!

Updating Goal

December 02, 2017

Thank you so much for your generosity! We are so thankful for all of your support for our study abroad to Nicaragua. These medical and dental clinics, as well as our public health and water works require thousands of dollars in supplies. We chose $5000 because we thought that that would be a reasonable goal but ultimately in order to get all of our supplies we would need approximately $15,000.

We have been actively seeking supply donations to offset some of the financial costs and we are also doing very well in those pursuits but we are going to increase our crowd sourcing goal to $6000 on Monday. We hope to meet that goal by Wednesday, December 13th.

We truly appreciate your kindness and generosity. Thank you.

WVU Day(s) of Service

November 27, 2017

Throughout the fall, WVU Global Medical and Dental Brigades has remained active in the local community. In August, we teamed up to help freshmen students with move-in day. We spent the day on the downtown campus helping students move-in at Boreman North and Boreman South.

In October, in partnership with other student organizations at WVU we participated in the WVU Day of Service. Our groups were sent to southern West Virginia and we sent the day working on 7 projects in McDowell County. In one of the pics you can see two of our new Brigaders working on a sustainable food project.

We have two more weeks left in our fundraising campaign. Thank you for your support and if you could help please continue to spread the word about our organizations. With your help, we are hoping to make a large impact in Nicaragua.

Thank you.

Quick Update

November 14, 2017

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far to our efforts at fundraising. We are hoping to hit our goal within the next week and possibly increase our goal before the project ends on December 13th. We have accepted 58 students who will travel with us this upcoming spring from 174 applicants. This was our greatest recruitment year to date and speaks volumes to the work that we do. The support from people like you means so much to us and helps us achieve our goals.

Over the last month and a half we have met three times as a group. We have started our triage and charla (Spanish chat) trainings and we are excited to get back to the land of lakes and volcanoes.

None of this would be possible without your support. Thank you again.
