Thank You from EWB
The West Virginia University Chapter of Engineers Without Borders would like to thank you for your generous commitment to our international team. Currently, the team is planning a return trip to Uganda with an aim of the end of 2018. We continue to seek and engage different perspectives by presenting our work at research conferences, to professionals, and at rotary clubs. We completed the preliminary design for the water system in the Fall of 2017, and through these presentations and interactions with professionals, we continue to work to refine and improve the concept of the design. As the spring semester comes to a close, the international team will continue work and communicate with our Ugandan friends over the summer to ensure a successful next trip to initiate implementation. Our work would not be possible without the generous support of donors such as yourself. For this, we are grateful and will continue to work towards ensuring clean water access for the village of Kabughabugha.
Progress for Kabughabugha and WVU EWB
Greetings from the WVU Chapter of Engineers Without Borders!
We would like to take a moment to thank you for your thoughtful and generous contributions to our team. WVU EWB has been working diligently to raise funds and develop strategies for the implementation of a water supply system that was designed in the Fall 2017 semester. In efforts to share our experiences and gain new perspectives, we have been presenting our work to a variety of audiences.
Last month, February 2018, members of the WVU EWB international team traveled to the University of Cincinnati to participate and present in the 2018 Midwest Global Health Conference hosted by the UC School of Medicine. We hosted a workshop discussing our efforts in Uganda and welcoming suggestions and feedback from the perspective of health professionals and students. The inclusion of perspectives from a wide number of fields is necessary to establish a sustainable and effective solution for Kabughabugha.
In March thus far, our work has been presented to Rotary Clubs within West Virginia, with more being scheduled throughout the next couple months. We are looking forward to sharing our experience, and we are eager for the continued development of the project.
Thank you, again. We would not be able to continue our work without the kindness of individuals, such as yourself.
